Project Design
Research and design for a new playground is underway by a group of dedicated parents with relevant expertise.
To date, the committee has reviewed the work of the previous playground upgrade initiative that was paused in 2020 and gathered input from teachers, students, parents and guardians.
It is evident from the information that has been gathered that a primary goal for our new playground is to improve the surface. Recognizing the importance of safety, accessibility, and maintenance, we are committed to including rubber surfacing in the design, despite its significantly higher cost.
Currently, we are in the process of requesting quotes from vendors and ensuring compliance with CBE regulations.

The charts above provide summaries of the online and paper surveys sent to Earl Grey parents and students. In total, the committee received approximately 275 responses and has used this feedback as they plan and request specific features for the playground design.
